The location reinforces our centuries-long ties to the city, where our oldest subsidiary, the Insurance Company of North America, was founded in 1792 near Independence Hall as the nation’s first stock insurance company.

We’re thrilled to officially open our new Philadelphia office, bringing the future of insurance to the very city where the American insurance industry was born.

This move honors our roots, dating back to 1792, while creating a modern, state-of-the-art environment for our employees. The new building is designed for collaboration and features amenities like an outdoor terrace, a free fitness center for employees, and a Barista Bar in the lobby.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for the celebration, including City of Philadelphia Government Mayor Cherelle Parker, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development Secretary Rick Siger, and Parkway Corporation.

Together, we packed over 500 hygiene kits in less than two days for Pathways to Housing PA, which provides stable housing, supportive services, and a caring community.

Our roots date back to 1792 with the Insurance Company of North America, Chubb’s oldest subsidiary, and the nation's first stock insurance company. Yesterday we honored that legacy by rededicating the historical marker that previously stood at 436 Walnut Street, in the heart of what was once Philadelphia's famed "Insurance Row." The landmark now stands in front of the new Chubb Center at the corner of 20th and Arch.
