Four years ago, Hurricane Ian forever changed our coastline and our community. But if the storm showed us the sheer power of nature, the days and years that followed showed us something far greater: the strength, kindness, and resilience of the Southwest Florida community.
From helping neighbors clear debris to rebuilding homes and businesses brick by brick, we’ve come a long way together.
Today, we pause to remember all that was lost, honor the lives affected, and celebrate how far we’ve rebuilt—together. 💙🌴
"25 years of zero flooding can change in less than an hour."
These photos were taken of our agency owner's home during Hurricane Ian.
Photo 1 (Mid-Storm): Water rising around the car and across the lawn—concerning, but still recognizable.
Photo 2 (Later in the Storm): Complete inundation—the driveway, lawn, and vehicle are fully under water.
When preparing for severe weather, the biggest mistake is relying on what hasn't happened before. Floodwaters move fast, and storm surges are unpredictable.
Don't second-guess the likelihood or strength of a flood based on past history. Make sure your home, assets, and family are properly covered before the water starts rising.
