Sixth Grade scientists added a seasonal twist to their study of matter with Ms. Bates, creating Halloween snack mixes while exploring how matter is classified and investigating different types of mixtures. Students measured, sorted, observed, and analyzed their ingredients before combining everything into one final—and very tasty—example.
