A change is coming to the way appraisals are reported — but should homebuyers be concerned?

The new UAD 3.6 appraisal format is being introduced by Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac to create a more consistent and detailed way for appraisers to report property information.

What buyers should know:

✔️ The way a home’s value is determined is not changing — appraisers will still look at location, condition, upgrades, and comparable sales
✔️ The new format does not automatically mean higher appraisal fees
