A lot of owners find this out the hard way. You land the client, you are ready to start, and then the contract asks for proof of general liability, specific limits, or additional insured wording.
If your coverage does not match what they are asking for, the deal stalls right when it should be moving.
Vendors, landlords, and clients are not being difficult when they ask for this. They are protecting themselves, and they expect you to be able to do the same.
The businesses that can produce the right coverage quickly keep things moving. The ones caught off guard lose time.
It is much easier to handle before you sign than to scramble after. Send the requirements to your agent early.
