Southwest Insurance Center is a local insurance agency, and our employees are dedicated to supporting the community. One employee, Tom Merrion is also Cubmaster for Cub Scout Pack 91. He is seen here MCing their "Raingutter Regatta" where scouts made sailboats out of recyclable materials and used straws to blow them down the track. Congratulations to this Webelos scout who won the race! (And who happens to be Tom's son.)

If you call the office today Tom's voice may be a little hoarse from cheering on all the "sailors," but his insurance guidance remains on an even keel.

Hey Plainfield!

The storms have kept our insurance office busy, but we are thankful that we can still help our customers recover. Unfortunately several downtown business do not have power, and this has to be hurting them. So lets help them out!

It was not long ago that Hazel Marie's stood up for the little guy with "Bananas Against Bullies," so how about you give them a follow and go in for a cone when their doors are back open.

showed up in a big way by giving away water in 2021 when Plainfield was under a boil order. They are open today and asking folks to "BYOL" (Bring Your Own Lamp). Hit them up for a pint or grab your flashlight to pickup something to go.

can't turn the amps on today, but if you got a little one at home who would like to rock out another day send them a message soon to schedule a meeting.

According to the National Weather Service it’s going to be so hot this week eggs dropped on the sidewalk will go from runny to charred instantaneously.

Given that our air conditioners will be working overtime you may wish to check your furnace filter and clean your AC coils if you haven’t done so yet this year. A gentle spray with the hose may do the trick, but I will link a video in the comments that can really get the nitty-gritty out.

A clean ac will help save money by being more efficient. Reach out to our office to make sure your premiums are being used most efficiently for your insurance needs.

Heads up to those that live in Kensington Club, The Ponds, Wilding Pointe, and Bronk Estates, there has been a boil order issued for those neighborhoods.

**UPDATE - the boil order is for precaution. We believe we have located the leak and once confirmed it will be repaired asap. **

Village of Plainfield Water Outage

The Village of Plainfield is currently investigating a potential water main break in the area of 127th and Van D**e. Subdivisions included, but not limited to Kensington Club, The Ponds, Wilding Pointe, and Bronk Estates.

Our staff has been on this since the early hours. I will continue to update you.

Dads, this post is for you.

Father’s Day has concluded as the new grill is assembled and the ties are put away. With those who have celebrated you on your mind I ask you to consider how your family is protected? Would your children have enough to carry on their lifestyle if you were to pass prematurely? Could they stay in their home? Still afford to go to college?
