🏔️🦌 Hunting season is here in many areas of Idaho! 🧡

For many Idaho families, hunting season means early mornings, time in the mountains, family traditions, and maybe a freezer full of meat by the end. Whether you’ve been hunting for decades or you’re heading out for your first season, please make safety the priority every single time.

Before you head out:

🧡 Be visible and wear appropriate hunter orange
🎯 Know your target AND what’s beyond it
🗺️ Tell someone where you’re going and when you expect to return
🌦️ Check the weather and be prepared for conditions to change quickly
⛑️ Carry emergency supplies and a first-aid kit
🐾 And don’t forget to keep your four-legged hunting partners safe, too!

Most importantly: Enjoy Idaho’s great outdoors, hunt responsibly, and come home safe.

🎒🍎 SCHOOL IS BACK IN SESSION! 🍎🎒

The backpacks are packed, alarms are going off way too early again, and school buses are officially back on Treasure Valley roads! 🚌

As everyone settles into the new school year, here's a little Sellman Cares reminder for drivers:

🚌 Stop for school buses when required and give them plenty of space.

🚸 Slow down in school zones and watch carefully for kids at crosswalks.

📵 Put the phone down. A few seconds of distraction can make all the difference.

🚗 Expect extra traffic. Give yourself a few more minutes during morning drop-off and afternoon pickup.

👀 Watch for walkers and bikes. Kids don't always do what we expect them to — especially when they're excited to see their friends!

And to all the students, teachers, school staff, bus drivers, and parents starting another school year:

**Why I Come to the Insurance Office**

Hi, friends! Bailey here. Some people think I come to the office just because I like car rides and staying close to my mom. That’s only part of it—I have a very important job at Sellman Insurance Agency! 🐶

My official responsibilities include:

🐾 Greeting clients at the door
🐾 Making nervous visitors feel more comfortable
🐾 Keeping an eye on the snack supply
🐾 Reminding everyone to take an occasional break
🐾 Boosting office morale with tail wags and cuddles
🐾 Listening to confidential insurance conversations—and never repeating a word!

Insurance can sometimes feel stressful or confusing. I’m here to help make the office feel a little friendlier and remind everyone they’re in good hands.

Wildfire smoke has settled over the Treasure Valley, and the air quality isn't something to ignore.

Even if you don't have asthma or other respiratory conditions, smoky air can affect everyone. You may notice irritated eyes, coughing, headaches, or shortness of breath after spending time outside.

Here are a few simple ways to protect yourself and your family:

💧 Stay hydrated
🏡 Keep windows and doors closed when air quality is poor
😷 Limit outdoor activities, especially during the hottest part of the day
🌀 Run your air conditioner on recirculate or use an air purifier if you have one
👶 Pay extra attention to children, older adults, pets, and anyone with heart or lung conditions

This isn't just about comfort—it's about staying healthy until the smoke clears.
