Friends, it's probably no secret that I'm a fan of investing, seeing as I am a full time advisor. So I wanted to share with you this little passive tool I like to use on the side for small incremental investing. My main investments are very intentional and not very stock market oriented, but I do like to have a little bit of stock market exposure. And this is one way I do that.
NOTE: if you want to do some real powerful investing, let's have a talk. But, this thing I'm about to share is a way to invest tiny amounts that would ordinarily make the journey from your jeans pocket into a jar on your night stand...
Remember decades ago when that bank had that "Keep the Change" program where they rounded your debit card transactions to the nearest dollar and put the difference into a savings account for you? It was brilliant. I used it, til I came to really dislike the impersonal corporate approach of that bank.
Acorns is like that. It rounds up your transactions then puts your round-ups into investments. Who can't afford to invest 37 cents when they're spending $8.63 on fast food? You can also designate a certain amount to also transfer weekly, monthly, etc. to bolster your investment pace.
After a certain level of balance or on certain plans, you can even control the allocations of your investments into more specific market strategies. I just use the free plan and let it roll.
