Dillon went 4-5 in our sweep of Alto with 7 RBI. He does a great job for them at 1B. Dillon is an incredible teammate! He brings contagious energy every day. When some of your key players are great people, you have a chance to be special.

Olivia Smith is their sophomore catcher! Her prowess behind the plate has been stellar. This past week she came up with some solid hits at the plate and had an awesome put out at second! Keep it up!

Agent Steve Williams, presents our Teacher of the Month, to Mrs. Marcie Splann with Central Heights ISD.

Mrs. Splann has been teaching high school math at Central Heights for the past 10 years. She was chosen as our teacher of the month by the students and the parents of the students who attend Central Heights. There were so many incredible statements made about Mrs. Splann but we believe this one sums it up the best.

“Mrs. Splann is a delightful and talented teacher and mentor who works tirelessly to help her students succeed. On countless occasions she has gone the extra mile. She has consistently proven herself to be an effective instructor who engages her students in an interesting manner. Not only is she a great advocate who understands the needs of her students, she corresponds well with the parents. Mrs. Splann is a refreshing presence in public education.

Congrats to Mrs Splann and thank you for all of your efforts to support the youth at Central Heights ISD. We appreciate you!

Agent Jennifer Honea presents our Teacher of the Month to Mrs. Molissa McClellan with Garrison ISD.

Mrs. McClellan has been with Garrison ISD for 6 years. She has taught English and has also taken on the responsibility of BETA sponsor, yearbook sponsor, and academic UIL sponsor. She works the gate and concession stand for the basketball games as well as picks up the supplies for the concession stands whenever needed. She always helps her fellow teachers when someone needs their class covered or help on duty. She is a fantastic teacher who takes a personal interest in mentoring and tutoring her students as well. She does all of this with a smile on her face and a positive attitude. She is a great asset to Garrison ISD!

Thank you Mrs McClellan for all you do for the kids in Garrison. We appreciate you so much!!

Jaylan averaged 18.5 points per game last week. He also led the team in assists, steals and rebounds all while working with a mid foot sprain and hyper extended knee. Jaylan is a natural leader on the team. Coach Leamon says “He’s a great kid who is dependable, consistent and a hard worker.” Congrats Jaylan!

The lady dragons had already left for a playoff game so we were unable to do player of the week for them today. Hopefully we will have an update soon!
