đź’° SELLING GOLD OR SILVER? HERE ARE A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND! đź’°
We often hear people say—or see videos claiming—that a buyer is paying 90%+ for gold and silver. But when we personally check these claims and do the math, we ever-time we find that the actual payout doesn’t match what was advertised.
The truth is simple: every buyer has to make money to stay in business. There’s nothing wrong with that. What matters is being honest, transparent, and upfront with the seller about what you’re offering.
Before you sell your precious metals, here are a few quick points to keep in mind:
âś… Buyers should be properly licensed. Ask if the business has the required business license and precious metal license.
âś… Know the holding requirements. In South Carolina, buyers are required to hold gold and silver for 21 days as required by state law. This does not apply to currency coins.
âś… Ask for the offer in writing. A reputable buyer should be willing to put their offer in writing when asked.
✅ Don’t let anyone pressure you. You should have time to understand the offer and make your own decision.
