✨ Loan Officer Spotlight: Mark Pero ✨

At A+ Mortgage, we believe our greatest strength is our people. Through our Loan Officer Spotlight series, we're introducing the experienced professionals behind our team and sharing the passion they bring to helping clients achieve their homeownership goals.

This week, we're proud to feature Mark Pero, who has spent the past eight years in the mortgage industry, including the last five years with A+ Mortgage.

For Mark, one of the most rewarding parts of being a Loan Officer is helping people find a path forward when they've been discouraged or told that homeownership simply isn't possible.

That determination to find solutions can make all the difference for a buyer who may have started the process feeling like homeownership was out of reach. Mark enjoys working through the details and finding opportunities that can help make the dream of owning a home a reality.

Outside of work, Mark enjoys golfing, following Wisconsin sports, and spending time with his family. 🏌️🏈⚾🏀

Let's settle an important fall debate. 🍂

When September rolls around, are you:

A. “Bring on fall! 🍁”
B. “I'm not emotionally ready to give up summer. ☀️”
C. “I can get behind fall… but let's not talk about winter yet.” 😂
D. “I'm just here for football, chili and weekends at home.” 🏈

We're officially in that weird stretch of the year where the calendar says fall, but we're still trying to squeeze every last bit out of summer.

Today, we pause to remember September 11, 2001, and the lives forever changed that day.

We honor those who were lost, the first responders and everyday heroes who stepped forward, and the families and communities who continue to carry their memories.

If you work in real estate, you’re going to be hearing a lot more about UAD 3.6.

But what actually is it?

UAD 3.6 is a major update to how residential appraisals are reported. It replaces the current collection of legacy appraisal forms with a single, dynamic report designed to provide more structured and standardized property data.

For Realtors, that means appraisal reports will look and function differently than what you're used to seeing.

And while this may sound like an “appraisal industry” change, it can matter to everyone involved in a transaction.

More structured property data.
More standardized reporting.
More detailed information.
A different way of presenting the appraiser's analysis.

The transition begins November 2, 2026.

We're paying attention now because waiting until a change affects a transaction is not the best time to learn about it.

⚾️ A great night at the ballpark! ⚾️

Last night, the A+ Mortgage team headed to The Legends Club at American Family Field to watch the Brewers take on the Chicago Cubs — and what a game it was! The Brewers pulled out the win in extra innings, making an already great night even better. 💙⚾️

But honestly, the best part wasn’t the final score. It was getting the whole team together, stepping away from the day-to-day, and enjoying some time together.

We know how much hard work goes on behind the scenes to take care of our clients, partners, and each other. We think it’s important to celebrate the people behind that work.

We’re grateful for this amazing team and the dedication they bring every day. Last night was a great reminder that sometimes the best part of work is the people you get to do it with.

This Labor Day, we're taking a moment to appreciate the people behind A+ Mortgage. ❤️

The last few months have been busy. Really busy.

And through it all, our team has continued to show up, solve problems, support one another, answer the next call, tackle the next file, and do what it takes to keep things moving smoothly for our clients and partners.

There is a lot that happens behind the scenes to make a mortgage transaction come together—and it takes a team that is willing to keep pushing, even when the pace gets intense.

So today, we simply want to say:

Thank you.

Thank you for the long days.
Thank you for the extra effort.
Thank you for jumping in when someone needs help.
Thank you for caring about getting it right.
And thank you for everything you do that often happens behind the scenes and doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

We are incredibly grateful for this team and everything you've put into a very busy season.

Today, take a breath. Enjoy the long weekend. You've earned it.

Before you write the offer, have you asked these three questions? 🏡

How strong is my financing position?
Make sure you understand your pre-approval and what you're realistically comfortable spending.

What will my cash-to-close look like?
Down payment isn't the only expense to plan for.

Are there property-specific issues I should know about?
The financing picture can change depending on the property.

The strongest offer isn't always the one with the highest price.

Preparation matters, too.

A good lending partner should help you understand the numbers before you're competing for the house—not after you've written the offer.
