From January 1 until March 31 in the Medicare world, is known as the OEP or Open Enrollment Period. This is a time for Medicare plan members to Make sure the Medicare plan they have in place for 2026 is a good fit for their situation, whether that be financially or health wise. Some may need a plan with more dental benefits. Many situations in which you are not sure the plan you have in place would be the best for you.

During this OEP, you may change plans and arrange that all the way up to March 31.

Annual Enrollment Period for 2026 plans is only about 6 weeks away, so if you have a Medicare Part C or D plan now, be aware that you will receive what's referred to as an ANOC which stands for Annual Notice of Change. Plans change every year, so benefits will change and sometimes it may be worth it to do a needs analysis on your health and financial situation or discuss it with a certified Medicare sales agent. Open Enrollment Period for Medicare starts October 15 and ends on December 7.
