Muscle Shoals Education Foundation, Alumni and Friends News and Events from Muscle Shoals Education has been the heart of the city of Muscle Shoals since the first graduating class of 48 students in 1964.

Today, approximately 2800 students attend one of the seven schools that make up the Muscle Shoals City School system. In 2004, the Muscle Shoals Education Foundation was founded to enhance the educational system of Muscle Shoals through grants and scholarships for students. Because of the generous financial support of individuals, businesses, and school faculty, the MSEF has given thousands of dollars each year to Muscle Shoals schools and graduates.

Congratulations to the Muscle Shoals Middle School Cheer Team and Muscle Shoals High School Dance Team for their awards at UCA Cheer Camp at Gulf Shores and UDA Dance Camp at Mississippi State. The Middle School Cheer team brought home first place in the Camp and Cheer routine, Superior Ribbon for Game Day routine, spirit stick every night, and the traditions award and banana for the overall Muscle Shoals school program. The High School Dance team brought home the Superior trophy for the highest amount of blue ribbons, 3rd place home routine trophy, the overall drill down champion trophy, and the spirit stick. Also, several of them from both teams were named UCA and UDA All-Americans. Way to represent the Trojans!

We are saddened about the passing of Marcus Hill, a member of Webster’s faculty. He was known for his infectious smile, enthusiasm for helping others, and genuine love for the kids. Marcus Hill’s visitations will be today, June 21st at Thompson and Sons Funeral Home in Tuscumbia from 10 AM- 8 PM. Celebration of Life service will be at Grace life church on Saturday, June 22nd at 1 PM. If you would like to help the family with expenses, they have a fund established at First Metro Bank. Hills will be deeply missed by the Trojan faMily.
