The duties and responsibilities of the Escrow Assistant position includes, but is not limited to, the following:
• Competency Standards:
o Basic knowledge of title and escrow process
o Basic knowledge of accounting
o Must demonstrate excellent comprehension and organizational skills
o Ability to manage multiple actions at once; flexibility to reprioritize based on the direction of management
o Strong customer service orientation
o Must display professionalism in circumstances of high pressure and heavy workload
o Excellent verbal communication and problem-solving skills
o Recommended to become a notary within 1 to 2 years
o Ability to work with mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios and proration’s)

• Opening escrow transactions and processing escrow documents in accordance with company policies and procedures.

• Preparing documents and forms appropriate for the transaction, collecting and reviewing existing documents.
• Review file for completeness and compliance; proceeding to closing by remitting documents to title for recording; accurately balancing and disbursing file.
