Did someone say more free pollinator seed?

The Jackson County Farm Bureau is once again partnering with Southern FS, Jackson County Soil and Water Conservation District, Illinois Farm Bureau, and GROWMARK to host its annual Promoting Pollinators Program.

The initiative supports local pollinator populations by providing Jackson County Farm Bureau members with up to five pounds of pollinator seed at no cost. The seed can be used to establish habitats that benefit bees, butterflies, and other essential pollinating species throughout the community.

Organizers plan to distribute a total of 150 pounds of seed this year to active Jackson County Farm Bureau members. The program continues to reflect the organizations’ shared commitment to conservation, sustainability, and strengthening the agricultural landscape across Jackson County.

Applications are due March 30, 2026. Pollinator seed will be delivered to the Jackson County Farm Bureau and Jackson County Soil and Water Offices in late April. Applicants will know by mid-April how much seed they are receiving and which location to pick their seed up at.
