The Rutherford County Farm Bureau sent a delegation to attend the Legislative Visits at Capitol Hill in Nashville today.

The Rutherford County Farm Bureau held our Legislative Luncheon today. A huge Thank You to everyone who took time out of their busy day to attend.

The Rutherford County Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee and YF&R collected non-perishable food items for the Rutherford County School ATLAS Backpack program. Today the Rutherford County Farm Bureau presented the program with several boxes filled food items collected. We also presented a check to ATLAS to assist with meals for qualifying students during the Christmas break. Currently there are 1,200 students in Rutherford Co that are homeless and rely of the ATLAS program.

The Rutherford County Farm Bureau Women’s Leadership Committee has had a productive October. On Tuesday, October 14th, we convened at Brown's Store for our regular meeting, during which we elected officers for the upcoming year. The Rutherford County YF&R joined us for an evening of planning and camaraderie. Our activity for the evening consisted of creating flower arrangements. Thank you Melinda Black for hosting.
On Saturday, October 25th, six RCFBWLC members attended the District II meeting at the Ellington Agricultural Center in Nashville. Shelby Day Vannoy presented a noteworthy program on Ag Advocacy. We took a break for a delicious lunch provided by the Davidson County Farm Bureau Women. Dawn Groves instructed us on creating a pumpkin succulent garden that could be used as a centerpiece.
