Frank retired at 65 with more than enough money. Six months in, he was arguing with his wife about how to load the dishwasher.

He didn't have a money problem. He had something money can't fix.

If you're nearing retirement — or you're already there and something feels off — this one's for you.

After decades of work and sacrifice, your first Social Security check feels like a win. But for many, it comes with a hidden tax surcharge. The IRS can tax up to 85% of your benefits, not because you did anything wrong, but because you didn't understand the rules. This video breaks down the math the government doesn't want you to see.

Most retirees I meet feel trapped by their rental properties.
They're tired of the 2 a.m. maintenance calls. Tired of chasing rent. Tired of being "on call" every time they try to take a vacation.
But when they look at selling, they see a six-figure tax bill staring back at them — and they freeze.
There's a better way out. One that lets you stop being a landlord, keep your monthly income, and avoid handing $200,000 to the IRS.
I break the whole strategy down in my latest video. 👇
Have you ever felt stuck in a rental property you wanted to sell? Tell me about it in the comments.

Ever wonder how the IRS calculates your retirement income tax? It hinges on 'combined income' – a mix of your adjusted gross income, non-taxable interest, and half your Social Security benefit. Exceeding specific thresholds can make up to 85% of your Social Security taxable.

Up to 85% of your Social Security check could be taxable. 😳
Most folks think it's a tax-free reward. The IRS disagrees.
It's called the Tax Torpedo — and one couple I worked with almost paid $7,000 in taxes on a $30K Italy trip they thought would cost them $3,600. We cut their tax bill by over $3,000 with the right strategy.

Your legacy is more than money; it's about what you believe in and what continues after you're gone. Whether it's a worry-free retirement, supporting your children, helping grandchildren, caring for parents, or leaving to causes you love, you don't have to choose just one. Planning is key, especially within 5 years of retirement. Let's create a plan reflecting your real goals.

Your Social Security benefits aren't taxed in a vacuum. They're taxed based on your total income, including retirement account withdrawals, pensions, part-time work, and rental income. Planning around these rules can significantly impact your tax situation.

🚨 Did the 2026 "Tax Cliff" actually happen?

Not exactly — but the tax rules DID change in a big way, and most retirees have no idea.

I sat down with a couple recently — let's call them David and Barb. Retired here in Tennessee, solid income, beautiful home. David wanted to pull $20,000 from his IRA for a new patio.

Seemed simple enough. Until we ran the numbers. 😬

That one withdrawal was about to cost them WAY more than expected — not just in taxes, but by wiping out a brand-new deduction worth $12,000.

Here's what changed in 2026 that every retiree needs to know:

✅ Tax brackets are now PERMANENT — no more cliff anxiety
✅ The SALT deduction jumped from $10,000 → $40,000 (huge for homeowners)
✅ There's a new $12,000 "Senior Bonus" deduction for couples 65+... but it disappears fast if your income crosses $150,000

By adjusting their strategy, David and Barb kept their full bonus, used the new SALT deduction, AND got their patio — and saved nearly $4,000 in the process.

The 2026 tax world didn't end. But it did get a lot more interesting. 👇
