Acreage reporting may still be a little over a month away, with the deadline to us and FSA on July 15, 2026, but now is a good time to start keeping up with planting dates.

With all the recent rain holding up wheat harvest and pushing back planting double crop soybeans, accurate planting dates are becoming especially important.. As always, reporting early helps leave room for any needed corrections before the deadline.

The deadline to report spring-planted acreage is July 15th for hay, pasture, corn, cotton, and soybeans.

When you report at FSA, please double-check that shares, plant dates, and planted acreage totals are correct for each county, crop, and practice type. It is always best to report early so there is time to make any needed revisions.
