I have lived in Muncie since 2009, and my wife and I cannot imagine calling anywhere else home. Our community is such a wonderful area to raise our five children, and I have also been lucky to see firsthand how much the area has grown and become more diverse over the years. A perfect day for me is running or biking in the morning, spending time with our children at their activities in the after

noon, and eating dinner with family in the evening.I began my career in the insurance industry in 2008, and I started working for Allstate in 2009. I was fortunate to open the doors to my current Allstate location in 2011. I know and love life here, and it’s important for me to give back to the community that I care so much about, and I am grateful that Allstate encourages and supports my efforts. I am active with the Boy Scouts of America, sponsor local high school sports programs and participate in the Feed My Sheep organization, which feeds hundreds of area residents on Thanksgiving Day. I also was able to secure an Allstate Good Hands in Community grant for the Delaware County Sheriff’s Department for the work we did with the X the Text program, and I enjoy meeting with local business leaders at the Muncie-Delaware County Chamber of Commerce.I’m in the insurance industry because I love working with and helping people, and I believe treating people courteously and honestly is the only way to do business. For our local Muncie friends, we're noticing a change for our clients that are pulled over or involved in a traffic incident in the last couple of months.

Make sure you have current proof of insurance on your phone or a hard copy in the car.

If you are pulled over or involved in an accident and the police report to the scene and are unable to provide your proof of insurance on the scene, police seem to be issuing a ticket immediately rather than giving your insurance company the opportunity to file it on your behalf in the subsequent days.

Historically if you couldn't provide current proof for whatever reason, our clients would call us after the fact and we'd get it filed.

For 17 years it hasn't been an issue, but now we've had 3 clients recently be issued $189 tickets for not having insurance even though they do.

These winds across East Central Indiana today are no joke.

Our office has been getting a steady stream of claims calls all afternoon — basketball hoops through windshields, shingles blown off roofs, trees down on barns and detached garages, and one person even had their entire roof blown off their home.

We’re also getting calls from folks who went through a call center and aren’t sure who their actual agent is. Three of those just in the last couple minutes.

And right in the middle of all that, I got a spam text from a roofing company offering a “free inspection.” Imagine that.

Storm damage situations can be stressful and confusing. If anyone has questions about what to do after damage or how the claims process works, feel free to reach out. I’m always happy to help point people in the right direction.
