Ritchie Insurance, Inc. began as a family owned insurance agency in 1937. We are still family owned today. We are proud of our friendly knowledgeable staff. We have been writing all types of insurance in Muncie and the surrounding area for 70 years. We offer coverage for homes, renters, mobile homes, autos, motorcycles, recreational vehicles, watercraft, farms, commercial risks and life insurance.

It is with a grateful heart that I say good-bye to our clients, who are always considered our dear friends.
Ritchie Insurance is and has been for several months now McGowan Insurance Group. I am retiring and leaving you in the capable hands of Libbi Chandler, Michelle Keppler and Aimee Mills. I want to say THANK YOU to each and every one of you for all your years of business and loyalty to our family business. No words can express the feeling for the friendships that have developed over the years. I will miss talking with you, but know that you are in capable hands with the same great staff who has been there the last 30+ years. The ladies are fantastic and McGowan Insurance Group is too.

Thank you everyone for all your patience. The new phone system has been a bit trying for everyone this week. Please note, you will receive a recorded message first telling you that Ritchie is now McGowan but then it will ring directly to the ladies. If by chance we miss a message or you get cut off accept our sincere apologies. If you do end up with a receptionist just tell them you want Aimee, Michelle, Libbi or the Muncie office. Words can’t completely express the depth of feelings as I write this post, Ritchie Insurance has truly been a family…. 5 family members in one office is not always easy, but we made it work. Toss in employees, many that came and went over the years, but always included in the Ritchie family. Today I am shouting out, Thank you to the originals, my parents, Bill & Leah Ritchie for all their hard work, thank you to the finest group of ladies, both employees and dear friends, Libbi Chandler, Michelle Keppler, Aimee Mills and Lisa McKinley that worked as a team for years.
Bryan Oukrop, our Medicare man has also been a part of this family for such a long time.
Thank you to our clients, every single one. We consider you not just clients, but friends. We couldn’t do our days without you.
The people will remain the same Libbi, Aimee, Michelle and myself will continue to care for your business as we always have, but as many of you already know Ritchie Insurance has been McGowan Insurance Group since January of this year.
Finally, thank you to the McGowan Insurance Group for making us a part of their team and their family.
