Your Medicare costs don’t exist in a vacuum.

A bonus. Equity vesting. A Roth conversion.

Decisions made elsewhere in your financial life can show up here later.

That’s when Medicare stops being a benefits question and becomes part of the bigger picture.

We’ll connect those dots on September 9.

“I already handled that” may be true about the decision you made then.

It is not necessarily true about the plan you have now.

You may have enrolled yourself or a parent in a Medicare plan and made a perfectly reasonable choice.

But plans change.
Networks change.
Formularies change.
Prescription costs change.
Health needs change.
Income changes.

The real question is not whether you got it right the first time.

It is whether anyone has looked at it since.

That is the difference between taking action and having a plan.

On September 9, Talisman Wealth Advisors is hosting:
Medicare for the Woman Running Everything — Including Her Parents’ Retirement

Jennifer Kirby and independent Medicare specialist Mark Kapsky will cover:
-How to tell whether a parent’s current plan still fits
-What the brochure does not tell you about costs, networks, and enrollment timing
-Why higher earners may pay more for Medicare
-How Medicare connects to income, taxes, HSA contributions, and the rest of your financial picture

Because enrolled does not mean reviewed—and Medicare is not a once-and-done decision.

Register now to join Jennifer Kirby and Mark Kapsky live on September 9 and get the real version of Medicare—not the brochure version.

High income? A vague sense that none of it is quite structured right?

That is not a feeling. That is usually a signal.

The accounts exist. The income exists. The responsibilities exist.

What may be missing is one clear view of how all of it works together—what it is, what it is doing, whether the structure underneath it matches the life on top of it.

This is where a lot of capable women are. Not behind. Not irresponsible.

Just running a financial life that has gotten more complex than the system holding it was built for.

The moment that becomes visible is not a crisis.

It is usually where the most useful work begins.

If that description is familiar, a conversation is available to you here, free of charge.

No sales pitch, just talking. → link in comments

There’s a point when helping your parents starts to look a little different.

You’re not taking over.

You’re just noticing that maybe it’s time to look a little closer.

Medicare can be one of those moments.

We’re talking about what to review, what to ask, and what actually matters on September 9.

How couples structure finances varies widely.

What matters is whether the system remains fair, transparent, and sustainable over time.

At some point, Medicare becomes two decisions at once.

Is Mom or Dad still in the right plan?

And what do you need to understand before it becomes your decision too?

For the woman already running everything, this is one more consequential system competing for her attention.

We’re making it easier to see what matters.

The goal is not to take the most risk. The goal is to take the right amount of risk for the life you actually want.

A lot of financial advice still sounds like the point is more.

More growth.
More return.
More upside.

But money is not an end in itself.

Money should always have a job.

Whether it's to make work optional, protect your independence, create room to leave, sell, fund, support, or literally just stop carrying every decision in your head.

Instead of: “How do I maximize everything?”

Ask, “What does this money need to do, and how much risk is actually necessary?”

Think less performance theater, and more structure.

If your financial plan is still organized around “more,” it may be time to ask what the money is actually supposed to do.

Sometimes the easiest way to start is not a full plan.

It is one focused conversation or one question you actually need answered.

That is why Talisman hosts webinars at least once a quarter.

We know no one needs more financial content sitting in their inbox. Most people have plenty of that.

The value is in taking one topic that feels vague or overloaded and making it easier to see.

A good webinar should not leave you with twelve more things to worry about. It should help you understand your own situation a little more clearly.

Enough to feel less stuck.

Enough to take the next financial question with less friction.

If you’re hoping to dive deeper into your finances in 2026, we hope you’ll join us. Send us a DM to be added to our webinar list and you’ll be alerted each time a new topic will be discussed.

A new role. A divorce. A promotion. A loss.

Big transitions are already a lot — and that weight makes it almost impossible to see your financial picture clearly. Not because you're not sharp. Because humans under pressure are very good at building stories that make them feel okay.

It'll sort out. I'll look when things settle.

Sometimes that's true. Sometimes it's the story keeping you stuck.

The question is: what's the accurate version—not just the comfortable one?

Transitions are the worst time to make decisions. And one of the best times to finally get clear.

If you're in the middle of a job change, a divorce, or a liquidity event—even a good one—this is exactly when having someone who can see the full picture matters most.
