Today starts the Annual Enrollment Period for Medicare plans. It will run through Dec 7. Now is the time to look over, and make changes to your plans if you wish. We have several new options available, and it could greatly benefit you if you choose to see what's out there. Please don't fall for the misleading TV commercials and the repeated scam calls telling you they have the greatest plan for you. It never usually ends well. Come sit down one on one and go over your options in side by side comparisons. If you can't get out, we are available for home visits. Today I traveled to Viola, Glencoe, and Cherokee Village for some face to face reviews since these Clients have trouble getting out. One of the Clients got put on a medication during this year that their current insurance doesn't cover. The cost of the drug was $17,000 a year!!! Luckily they were able to get some extra help to cover it, but the help ends at the end of the year. After reviewing, I was able to find them a plan with a new company entering the area next year for a copay of ZERO!!!! To say they were ecstatic is an understatement. 5 days in to the Pre-Annual Enrollment Period and things are rocking! New companies and more options will be available for next year. If your current Agent tells you to just stay where you are at without an explanation of why, please come visit us! I'm starting to see a new company as a front runner while an old company still holding its own. And not all the area agencies are even contracted with them! This is definitely a year to review! Make your appointment with one of our team members and get on the books. Get to see the plans side by side in black and white. You'll be glad you did! And as always, PLEASE don't listen to the TV commercials, sales calls, and mailings. Go see a local Agent face to face and see all your options. Thank you for what looks like it will be an incredible season already!

We've extended our business hours for the season now. As always, we still make weekend and after hour appointments available upon request. We also do Home Visits for those that have trouble getting out. We try to do whatever we can to accommodate everyone's needs in this short period of time. We also have our website that you can use to review/sign up when the Annual Enrollment Period Opens on 10/15. I've been noticing some Health Insurance companies referring to the ANNUAL ENROLLMENT PERIOD as the Open Enrollment. These are two different sales periods and can confuse Customers. We are also not allowed to advertise for the Open Enrollment Period per CMS rules/regulations. For clarification purposes, today starts the Pre-Annual Enrollment Period that runs from 10/1 to 10/14. This is the time you can review plans. But due to CMS rules/regulations, we can't accept applications until the actual Annual Enrollment Period starts. This runs from 10/15 to 12/7. This is the time to make changes if you need to. The Open Enrollment Period comes at a later time and has certain rules to follow. Please contact an Agency that knows the differences between these periods and will not confuse you or make you think your time is running out as to make you think you have to make a snap decision. Give us a call for an appointment today or stop in and let an available Agent assist you. Tomorrow starts the Pre Annual Enrollment Period. For the next 2 weeks we will be able to review plans but can not accept applications until the 15th. I am jam packed this year, which is great! I'm happy so many people want to review right away instead of waiting. To help with parking in my small lot, Horton Asphalt came out and paved a big section of the rear for extra parking. Unfortunately, due to a City Ordinance, I was not permitted to do the whole yard. I guess we will take what we can get and do our best to continue to accommodate our growing Clientel. Please don't wait until the last minute. Get on the books now!
