Spring turkey season is one of the most exciting times of the year here in Kentucky. The woods are waking up, the gobblers are talking, and hunters are heading out before daylight with high hopes and a lot of patience.

This information is meant to give you a quick summary of Kentucky’s turkey hunting regulations. For the full legal wording, refer to 301 KAR 2:144, or check out the official Kentucky Spring Hunting Guide.

📅 SEASON DATES

Youth-Only Season:
Starts the first Saturday in April and runs for 2 days
General Season:
Runs for 23 consecutive days beginning the Saturday closest to April 15
