Wishing you a Happy Labor Day!

Today we celebrate the hard work that strengthens our communities and fuels our nation. We extend a special thank you to the farmers, farm families, agricultural workers, and all those whose efforts help provide food, fuel, and fiber every day.

The Henry County Farm Bureau office is closed today in observance of Labor Day and will reopen tomorrow during regular business hours.

🚜⚠️ National Farm Safety & Health Week is September 21-26, 2026!

Farm safety is more than a one-week conversation. It's a year-round commitment to protecting the people who work every day to provide food, fuel, and fiber for our communities. This year's theme, "Safety Today, Success Tomorrow," reminds us that taking time for safety now helps ensure a healthier, safer future for generations to come.

Are you a PreK–12 educator in Henry County with a passion for agriculture and creative teaching? Apply now for up to $250 in grant funding to support ag-themed classroom projects for the Spring 2027 semester!
Eligible projects include:
✅ Innovative lessons & activities
✅ Ag-related field trips
✅ Classroom resources & ag-accurate books
✅ Guest speakers & hands-on experiences
🗓 Deadline to apply: November 9, 2026
📅 Projects must take place between January 1 – May 14, 2027
📍 Open to public & private school teachers in Henry County
💰 Funds are paid to your school and may not be used for salaries, clothing, or giveaways

🌽 What a great night at the Henry County Fair!
Thank you to everyone who attended our annual Farm Family Picnic at the Henry County Fair last Thursday. Your support helps make programs like the Henry County Farm Bureau Ag Literacy Grant possible, providing local teachers with resources and opportunities to bring agriculture into their classrooms.

💙 What an incredible Bucket Animal Show!

A huge THANK YOU to all of the kids who participated, the families who supported them, and the many volunteers who helped make this year's Henry County Farm Bureau Bucket Animal Show a success. Despite the unbearably hot weather, everyone showed up with great attitudes, worked hard, and made it a fantastic event. We had an amazing turnout, and it was wonderful to see so many young exhibitors sharing their hard work and love for agriculture.

A special thank you goes to Kyle Moeller for stepping in as our judge on short notice. He did an outstanding job, and we truly appreciate his willingness to help! We'd also like to thank Henry County Fair Queen First Runner-Up, Jacie Campbell, for helping judge as well.

Finally, thank you to Channel Seed – Rick Smith and Fitz Farms LTD for generously donating portions of our Bucket Animal Show prizes. Your support helps make opportunities like this possible for our youth.

🎶🚜 What a Night at Music on Main! 🚜🎶
Henry County Farm Bureau enjoyed a beautiful evening at Central Park on June 20 for Music on Main! Thank you to the more than 200 Farm Bureau members who stopped by our membership appreciation booth to check in and spend the evening with us.
Congratulations to our tractor show winners:

Families enjoyed a fun-filled evening with the pedal pull, bounce houses, petting zoo, and plenty of activities for kids of all ages. The night was topped off with great live music from Lacy's Ditch, making for a wonderful community celebration.
A big thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. We appreciate the support of our members and community and look forward to doing it again next year!
