Some of you may know that Alex and I welcomed our second child, Semmes, in June. He’s been the sweetest addition to our family of four, and we’re soaking in every moment of this busy, wonderful season.

Having another child has also been a reminder of how quickly life changes, and how important it is to make sure the people you love are protected. With each new chapter, our responsibilities grow, and for me, that meant taking a closer look at what would happen if the unexpected occurred.

I’m grateful that Alex and I have strong life insurance coverage in place. It’s one of those things that can be easy to put off, but once you have children, “someday” starts to feel a little more urgent.
