Most people wait until something breaks to look at their finances.

I prefer to get ahead of it.

At the start of every month, I run a quick system:
- Log wins, lessons, and what needs work (personal + professional)
- Review the family calendar so I am not winning it
- Trim the budget, kill subscriptions, and auto-save before we spend.

Nothing wild. Just habits that hold.

I don't do this because I love spreadsheets (I'm actually such a novice). I do it because the freedom I feel the rest of the month is worth the 30-60 minutes of effort.

Money, health, business... it all gets easier when you don't avoid it.

Latest Newsletter: Dropped 💥

Wealth built like a workout.
You don't need the perfect plan. You need reps.
Here's a system that could spark your change.

The gym doesn't work overnight. Neither does your bank account.

We overthink the starting line.

Finances, fitness, habits, business, home life.. everyone wants the perfect plan before they take the first step.

But how are you supposed to improve your form if you never get a single rep on tape?

How do you know if saving $X/month works if you never try it?

You're not signing a blood oath.
You're on a trial run.
3-6 months. Adjust as you go.

But you've gotta start moving.

Clarity comes from reps, not hypotheticals.

I used to read often. Mostly for work, rarely for fun.

After 7 years of higher ed, I was burned out on books. I’d pick one up, put it down, and move on without finishing.

This year, I set two simple rules:
1. Read 10 pages a day
2. No new books until I finish the one I’m on

It hasn’t been life-changing, but it has changed my life in small, steady ways:
- More focus, less scrolling
- Learning and generating ideas
- Fiction for the first time in years
- Quiet reading moments with my boys

Nothing flashy. Just small reps that are starting to compound.

I used to think we needed more income to hit our wealth goals.
Or that we were stuck with our spending habits.

Then we tried one simple shift:
→ A weekly auto-deposit to savings.

We stuck to it, even when it felt tight.
No windfalls. No big changes. Just one decision on repeat.

Now when life happens:
🔹 Unexpected expense
🔹 Investment opportunity
🔹 Home project
🔹 Chance to make a memory with the boys

The money is already there.

We didn't earn more.
We didn't overhaul our lifestyle.
We just saved first and spent second.

That one habit opened the door to a real freedom.

I didn't sleep. My to-do list was stacked. One guy had already bailed on breakfast.

I typed out my text to skip. Then deleted it.

Dropped the boys off at school. Drove back across town. Showed up anyway.

Hardee Boys is a casual breakfast. No pitches. Just talked about life and biz like we always do.

Someone at the next table overheard us. Asked for my card.
That guy became one of my strongest client relationships.

Not because I had a polished elevator pitch.
Because I showed up when I didn't want to.

Success isn't built on big moments.
It's built on mornings like this.
Over and over again.
Get your reps in.

06/23/2025

Success isn’t built in breakthroughs.
It’s built on mundane Mondays.

The ones where you still show up: tired, sore, and distracted but you show up anyway and do the work.

In health, wealth, parenting, business, etc. the game is won by people who don’t wait for perfect conditions.
Do the messy reps.
Build systems and stick to them.

The magic you’re looking for is hiding in the boring stuff you keep putting off.

06/20/2025

Most people don't need more information.
They need a system they'll actually follow.

Wealth, health, parenting.. it's all the same game.
→ Reps over time
→ No shortcuts
→ Show up, even when you don’t feel like it

Success isn't magic. It's consistency.

06/18/2025

Most people do not need a more complicated financial plan.

They need a clear one they'll actually follow.

You don't get wealthy by knowing all the secrets.
You get wealthy by doing the right reps, over and over again.

It's not sexy.
It's not trending.
But it works.

No shortcuts. Just solid strategy.

For two weeks now, I've been repeating in my head: "There is a compounding effect to taking care of yourself."

It's getting me through my tough days, my no-motivation days, my workouts, my workdays, and that last hour of parenting every evening. Hopefully, it can add some value to your tough moments.

Most people hear "compounding" and think about investment growth. But it shows up in far more places than just your portfolio.

06/11/2025

You don’t need to feel “on fire” to build wealth.

You need to:
✅ Show up
✅ Know your reps
✅ Keep doing them

The same way you build strength in the gym or routine in your health.

Clarity > hype
Consistency > intensity

That’s the whole game.

I work with disciplined professionals who treat their wealth like their health: long-term, strategy-first, and habit-driven. If that’s you, I’d love to connect.

06/09/2025

The run you almost skipped matters more than the one that felt easy.

That's true for training.
For money.
For parenting.
And probably more!

The compounding effect of taking care of yourself isn't just physical. It builds identity, trust, and evidence of your priorities.
