Transitions of PA is a local comprehensive victim's service program that focuses on raising awareness for Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM). This year, Transitions is looking to partner with local organizations, businesses, and schools to raise awareness and honor survivors through Denim Day.

UNB Bank is proud to join millions of others across the world who have worn jeans with a purpose, in support of survivors, and helping to raise awareness of programs such as Transitions of PA.

Our employees here at UNB showing off their surrounding community school spirit by dressing for the 73rd Coal Bucket Game matchup between MCA & Shamokin Area High Schools.

The school districts are divided by mountains that used to be full of coal. Now those mountains are nearly devoid of coal and machines that mined it stand silent, rusting in time. The coal industry is all but gone and these two small districts, made up of small coal town boroughs and one, empty town, Centralia, that burns underground, all rest in an area that has one thing they still cherish, high school football.

A very special thank you to Hank Meiss and Cale Beaver of our local Valley Chemical Fire Department!! We discovered that our flagpole rope was literally hanging by a thread and needed to be replaced. With the help of Cale and Hank and UNB’s Ed Amarose the flag once again flies proudly over our Numidia Branch office. Thank you again for always being willing to lend a hand. It was most greatly appreciated.
