Student loan repayment doesn't have to feel overwhelming. If you're staring at your loan balance wondering where to even begin, know that becoming debt-free isn't about making one giant payment — it's about building consistent habits over time, and chipping away at your debt diligently.

Here are five strategies that can make a real difference:
✔ Build a realistic budget
✔ Put bonuses and gift money toward your balance
✔ Enroll in automatic payments
✔ Consider employers that offer student loan assistance
✔ Explore refinancing carefully if it makes financial sense

No matter where you are in your repayment journey, a thoughtful plan can help you pay down debt faster — and move toward your next financial goal with confidence! Learn more at: https://bit.ly/46Eimye.

Q: What is your favorite movie?
A: The first Space Jam. I love it because Michael Jordan is in it, and he's one of my favorite athletes. I also like how the movie combines basketball with fun and cartoons, which makes it really entertaining.

Q: Name a person living or deceased that you would like to meet?
A: Kobe Bryant. He was an amazing basketball player, and I would love to hear about his mindset, work ethic, and what motivated him to become one of the greatest.

If you’ve got kids and you’re planning for your financial future, chances are you’ve asked yourself the question: "Should I save for my child's college...or my own retirement?" While both goals matter, retirement needs to come first. Why?

✔️ You can borrow for college.
✔️ You CANNOT borrow for retirement.
✔️ Employer retirement matches are essentially free money. (Never leave that on the table!)
✔️ Retirement savings aren't counted when determining your child’s federal financial aid eligibility.

With that said, college savings shouldn't be put on hold indefinitely. Even modest monthly contributions to a 529 plan can grow significantly over time thanks to compound interest.

Check out our guide to some of the best strategies for balancing both at https://bit.ly/4wS6HXo.

Your child may be college-ready — but are they financially savvy enough to navigate this next chapter successfully? Sending your kid off to college means more than just buying a shower caddy and helping them register for classes… It's also their first opportunity to manage money independently. So, before move-in day, make sure they know how to:

✔ Build a realistic monthly budget
✔ Understand the difference between needs and wants
✔ Use a debit card responsibly
✔ Avoid credit card debt
✔ Borrow only what's necessary for school

Because the best graduation gift isn't helping pay tuition — it's giving your child the confidence to make smart financial decisions on their own!

Have you thought about taking on student loans? A college degree can significantly increase your lifetime earning potential, but borrowing more than you can realistically repay can delay major milestones like buying a home, starting a family, or building wealth.

One of our favorite guidelines? Try not to borrow more than you expect to earn during your first year after graduation.

Also, before signing any loan paperwork, understand what you're borrowing, how repayment works, and how those monthly payments will fit into your life after college.

Remember: the smartest student loan isn't the biggest one you're approved for; it's the one that helps you reach your goals without limiting your opportunities tomorrow!
