First Federal of Greene County and its subsidiary, First Greene Mortgage, visited WVU Medicine Children's on Wednesday, June 4, to donate 240 plush superhero teddy bears to the Child Life program at the hospital. Stuffed animals are given to young patients at the hospital to help comfort them and reduce fear and anxiety.
First Federal and First Greene also recently presented their fifth installment of a 5-year pledge to sponsor a nurses’ station in the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) of the new Children’s Hospital building.
In addition to those donations, employees and customers raised $1,000 and collected more than 250 books for the Child Life, School Intervention, and Pediatric Clinic reading programs.
