Less competition in today's market means having a better chance of buying a home without having to drive your offering price above your comfort level due to being in a multiple offer situation, being able to make an offer without waiving inspection contingencies and having more inventory to choose from.

When you pay rent, that is like paying 100% interest. You get nothing back from that monthly payment.

Mortgage rates may be going up but this could still be the right time to buy a home.

Hear me out...many people will sit on the sidelines and wait for rates to come down before getting in the market to purchase a home. That may lead to more inventory now and less competition for you when you do find the right home. Rates are temporary. You can always refinance when the rates do come down. By waiting...that puts you back into a competitive market where you are against multiple buyers bidding for the same property which will instantly drive the price of the home up...you will likely pay more for the house at that time.
