Community Spotlight: Rowan County Veteran's Museum

The Porter Group Team had the privilege of touring the Rowan County Veterans Museum and discussing how we can partner in the future to ensure local veterans are receiving the support they need when it comes to navigating insurance and benefits.

Nearly 6 million veterans are enrolled in both Veterans Affairs (VA) health care and Medicare, but many aren't sure how to use them together effectively. Understanding how the two systems can work together to reduce costs, improve access and support informed health care decisions is important.

The museum is a powerful reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and commitment of our veterans. We are honored to be part of a community that values and preserves their stories. Special thanks to David and Dustyn for the tour and sharing their knowledge with our team. We can't wait to grow our partnership with the Veterans Museum!

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the heroes whose courage and selflessness emerged in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
We remember the innocent lives taken too soon. We honor the first responders, firefighters, law enforcement officers, military members, medical professionals, volunteers, and everyday Americans who answered the call to help. We also recognize the families who continue to carry the memories of their loved ones.
September 11 is a reminder of not only what our nation lost, but also the strength, compassion, and unity Americans showed in the days that followed.
May we continue to honor their legacy by serving one another, supporting our communities, and never forgetting the sacrifices made that day and in the years that followed.
We remember. We honor. We will never forget.
