Over the past few days, The Porter Group team has had the opportunity to connect with representatives from Devoted Health and UnitedHealthcare as we continue preparing for the upcoming Medicare Annual Enrollment Period (AEP).

These conversations are about much more than preparing for another enrollment season. They give our team the opportunity to learn about upcoming changes, explore new opportunities, strengthen industry partnerships, and identify additional ways we can continue making a meaningful impact throughout the communities, counties, and states we serve.

At the end of the day, our clients will always be our top priority. The more we learn, the better equipped we are to educate, guide, advocate for, and serve the individuals and families who trust us to help them navigate important healthcare decisions.

Strong partnerships also help us better support the community organizations and professionals we work alongside. When we share knowledge, resources, and a commitment to serving others, we can accomplish so much more together.

We’re grateful for the continued collaboration and look forward to building even stronger partnerships as we head into AEP. Here’s to learning more, serving better, and making an even greater impact together!

The Porter Group team has been hard at work preparing for the upcoming Annual Enrollment Period (AEP)! Over the past month, our team has focused on expanding our knowledge, strengthening partnerships, and collaborating with community organizations to ensure we are equipped with the latest product information and industry updates. Aetna Academy D-SNP University I Louisville, Kentucky
This Academy was packed with valuable information that will help us better serve our current and future dual-eligible clients. We gained practical guidance and real-world strategies to navigate client conversations with greater confidence, allowing us to provide even better support and service to our community.

NABIP Kentucky Medicare Summit I Frankfort, Kentucky
This summit brought together agents, carriers, and industry professionals from across the Medicare landscape for a full day of education, collaboration, and networking. We explored legislative and industry updates, along with enhancements to our software and technology, equipping us with the latest tools and knowledge. These insights strengthen our ability to remain our clients' one-stop resource for their insurance needs and to provide the highest level of support and service to our agents.

United Healthcare 2027 Medicare Updates Meeting
This meeting provided valuable updates on regulatory changes within the market and key developments shaping the 2027 Medicare landscape. It also offered an excellent opportunity to network with local partners, exchange ideas, and collaborate on strategies to better serve our agents and clients in an evolving industry.

Starting July 1, 2026, the Medicare GLP-1 Bridge program will provide eligible Medicare Part D beneficiaries with temporary access to select GLP-1 medications, including Wegovy, Zepbound, and Foundayo, specifically for weight loss and management.

This CMS program runs through December 31, 2027, and is designed to expand access for those who meet certain BMI and health criteria and are not currently receiving GLP-1 coverage under their Part D plan. The program operates outside of standard Part D benefits, with a flat $50 monthly cost, and does not apply toward deductibles or out-of-pocket expenses. We were honored to be a sponsor at the Morehead-Rowan County Chamber of Commerce Tee Off for Business Golf Scramble! It was a great day connecting with the community, and we’re so thankful to be part of an event that brings local businesses together. We appreciate everyone who came out and made it such a success. We are already looking forward to next year on June 11, 2027!

In observance of Memorial Day, we honor and remember the men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country. Their courage and dedication will never be forgotten.
