Fraudulent grant operations can destroy far more than a business owner’s bank account—they can destroy years of hard work, dreams, and the hope of building something better.

Organizations and websites such as Future Nest Fund, BeGrantFunded, TrustGrant, and others have been accused of using deceptive grant-funding tactics that can leave victims financially devastated. Their alleged methods can include promises of large business grants, repeated requests for upfront fees, “processing” charges, verification fees, closing fees, and other payments before the promised funding is released.

⚠️ That is a major warning sign.

A legitimate grant opportunity should not require you to continually pay money simply to unlock money you have supposedly already been approved to receive.

The people behind these schemes don't see the person behind the application. They see a target.

They target business owners who are trying to survive, expand, hire employees, purchase equipment, or simply keep their dreams alive. And once someone has invested money into the process, the demands can continue.

For some victims, the consequences can be devastating:

FUTURE NEST FUND IS AT IT AGAIN.

Mr. Mark Schmidt is the Director of Funding located in the UK and Anthony Dobbs is located in Iceland and both claim to be operating in the United States. Schmidt will come up with every reason for you to make another payment and these payments never end.

One person paid a lot to get a business grant and they ended up bankrupt and lost their home. Even after all of the promises of getting funded and after everything FNF said was completed and funding would be in 3-hours max, they still came back with another ransom fee of $1850. They will say anything to steal your hopes and dreams for their own sociopathic desires.

Protect Your Business Before You Apply for a Grant

Many small business owners are searching for funding to grow their companies. Unfortunately, scammers often target businesses by promising guaranteed grant approvals while demanding repeated payments before any money is released.

Our Experience

Based on our experience, we want to warn other business owners to exercise extreme caution when dealing with BeFundedGrant and its representative, William Braddy.

The process we experienced followed a concerning pattern:

Promises of grant approval and funding.
Requests for upfront payments to move the application forward.
New "challenges" or unexpected fees appearing just before funds were supposedly going to be released.
Repeated assurances that each payment would be the "last one."
Additional payment requests after each previous payment.
Long periods with little or no communication, followed by pressure to send more money immediately.
Requests for refunds were unsuccessful.
Warning Signs of a Grant Scam

Be cautious if you are told:

❌ "Your grant has been approved, but you must pay one more fee."

❌ "This is the final payment before your funds are released."

❌ "A new challenge has come up that requires additional money."

❌ "If you don't pay today, you'll lose your grant."

These are common tactics used in advance-fee fraud schemes.

Remember

Legitimate U.S. government grants generally do not require applicants to pay upfront fees simply to receive awarded funds. If someone continually asks for additional payments before releasing grant money, that should be treated as a significant warning sign.

Before Sending Money
Verify the organization independently.
Never rely solely on information provided by the grant company.
Ask for everything in writing.
Research reviews and complaints from multiple sources.
Contact the agency supposedly providing the grant to confirm the award.

Warning: Grant Scam Alert - Scammers are using your money to purchase real estate

If a company claiming to offer grants—such as Future Nest Fund or BeFunded Grants—tells you that you must pay a "Stamp Duty" fee of thousands of dollars before receiving your grant, treat it as a major red flag.

Stamp Duty is a tax associated with certain real estate transactions in the United Kingdom. It does not apply to U.S. grants, and legitimate business grant programs do not require applicants to pay a Stamp Duty fee to receive funding.

Scammers often use official-sounding terms to convince victims that these fees are legitimate. Once the money is sent, the promised grant never arrives.

If you've been asked to pay a large Stamp Duty fee to receive a grant, stop and verify the organization before sending any money.
