After a week in Florida, I needed a few days to just sit in the AC and remember what normal humidity feels like.
My mom, my cousin, and I spent the week at Disney World, and if you know my mom, you know she lives for her next Disney trip the way some people live for their morning coffee.

It was exhausting in the best way.
Long days, lots of walking, way too many snacks, and the kind of laughter that makes your cheeks hurt.
There is something special about watching the people you love light up in a place that feels like pure magic.

No matter how many times we go, I am always grateful for the chance to slow down, make memories, and just be together at the Happiest Place on Earth.
Life moves fast, and trips like this remind me why it matters to pause and enjoy the moments that actually fill you up.

What’s one place that always brings out your inner kid again, no matter how old you are?

We talk a lot about how money can create stress in families, but not nearly enough about how the right conversations can actually bring people closer.

Not the heavy, dramatic talks.

I mean the simple, honest ones that make everyone feel more connected.

It is the conversation where you finally share your goals instead of keeping everything in your head.

It is the moment you and your partner realize you want the same future, even if you have different ways of getting there.

It is the talk where you both admit what stresses you out so you can support each other instead of guessing.

It is the family meeting where you set expectations so no one feels confused or overwhelmed.

It is the quiet moment where you realize you are on the same team, not two people trying to solve a puzzle separately.

Money conversations do not have to be scary.

When they are honest and judgment free, they build trust.

They build clarity.

They build a sense of “we’re in this together,” which is one of the most powerful feelings a family can have.

What is one money conversation you wish felt easier to have with the people you care about?

I think we need to normalize the tiny financial wins.

The ones that will never make it into a motivational reel but absolutely deserve a round of applause.

Like finally canceling that free trial that has not been free since 2021.

Or moving five dollars into savings and feeling like the CEO of Responsibility.

Or checking your credit score without needing to hydrate first.

Or saying no to takeout even though the takeout menu was calling your name like a long lost friend.

These little wins matter.

They stack up.

They build confidence.

They remind you that you are, in fact, a functioning adult even if you ate cereal for dinner.

Progress does not have to be dramatic to count.

Sometimes it is just one tiny choice that Future You will high five you for.

What is the funniest small money win you have had lately?

We will talk about our weird dreams, our group chat drama, and the plot of a show we have not even finished.

But ask someone about their savings account and suddenly the room gets very quiet.

Money has become one of those topics people tiptoe around, even though it affects every part of life.

The silence creates shame, confusion, and the feeling that everyone else knows something you do not.

People avoid talking about money because:

It feels personal

It feels emotional

It feels like a test

It feels like everyone else is doing better

It feels easier to pretend everything is fine

But talking about money is how you learn, grow, and get support.

It is how you realize you are not alone, not behind, and not the only one trying to figure things out as you go.

The more we normalize these conversations, the easier it becomes to make confident decisions instead of guessing in the dark.

What is one money topic you wish people talked about more openly?

I think we need to talk about the money green flags no one gives themselves credit for.

Not the big impressive ones.

I mean the tiny, chaotic, very human ones that prove you are actually doing better than you think.

Like choosing not to buy something online and then immediately forgetting about it instead of obsessively checking the cart for three days.

Or opening your banking app without holding your breath like you are about to read a plot twist.

Or finally setting up autopay for a bill you have been manually paying for reasons even you cannot explain.

Or saying “I need to think about it” when someone tries to sell you something instead of panicking and agreeing to everything like you are on a game show.

These are green flags.

They show growth.

They show awareness.

They show that you are slowly but surely becoming the version of yourself who has their life together even if you still eat snacks for dinner sometimes.

You do not need to be perfect to be on the right track.

Sometimes the biggest sign of progress is simply paying attention.

What is one money green flag you are proud of right now, even if it feels tiny?

At some point we all picked up a few financial myths that absolutely did not age well.

And honestly, some of them were bold.

Like the idea that you need to be rich before you can start planning.

Or that debt automatically means you are irresponsible.

Or that retirement planning is something you do when you are old and wise and magically have everything figured out.

Or my personal favorite, the belief that you should already know how to manage money even though no one ever taught you.

These myths stick around because they sound official.

They sound like something an adult would say while holding a clipboard.

But they are not true.

Real financial planning is for real people.

People with questions.

People with goals.

People with messy lives and busy schedules.

People who want clarity, not perfection.

You do not need to be wealthy, flawless, or fully prepared to start.

You just need to be willing to learn and willing to take the next step.

What is one money myth you grew up believing that turned out to be completely wrong?

Most people are not overwhelmed by money because of the numbers.

They are overwhelmed because of the mental load that comes with trying to keep everything straight.

It is the constant background noise of

Did that bill go through

Did I ever update that account

Should I be saving more

Is my insurance still the right fit

What am I missing

Why does this feel harder than it should

It is the quiet pressure of trying to make good decisions while juggling work, family, responsibilities, and the million other things that pull at your attention every day.

The mental load is real.

It is heavy.

And it is one of the biggest reasons people feel behind even when they are doing better than they think.

My job is to help lighten that load.

Not by judging or lecturing, but by helping you get clarity so your brain can finally take a breath.

When you understand what is going on and what actually matters, everything feels less chaotic and a lot more manageable.

What is one money thought that has been taking up way too much space in your mind lately?

I think people underestimate how many of their everyday habits are actually solid financial wins.

Not the big dramatic ones.

I mean the tiny things you do without even noticing that Future You is quietly applauding.

Like checking your bank account before you swipe instead of after.

Or setting up autopay so you do not have to remember one more thing in this life.

Or keeping a running list of questions for your next meeting instead of pretending you will magically remember them.

Or tracking your goals in the Notes app like a detective solving a case.

Or even just opening your statements instead of letting them sit in your inbox like haunted artifacts.

These habits matter.

They build awareness.

They build confidence.

They make everything feel a little less chaotic.

And they prove you are doing better than you think, even on the days when adulthood feels like a group project you did not sign up for.

What is one money habit you have that deserves more credit than it gets?

One of the most underrated parts of financial growth is the identity shift that happens quietly in the background.

You wake up one day and realize you are becoming a different version of yourself, and it did not happen in one big moment.

It happened in tiny choices that slowly changed how you see yourself.

It looks like becoming someone who saves even when it is a small amount.

It looks like becoming someone who asks questions instead of pretending to know.

It looks like becoming someone who checks their accounts without bracing for emotional impact.

It looks like becoming someone who plans ahead instead of hoping for the best and praying the math works out.

It looks like becoming someone who feels confident making decisions instead of overwhelmed by them.

These shifts are subtle.

They do not come with confetti or a certificate.

But they matter.

They change the way you move through your life.

They change the way you think about your future.

They change the way you show up for yourself.

You do not need to have everything figured out to be growing.

Sometimes the biggest transformation is simply realizing you are not the same person you were a year ago.

What money identity are you stepping into right now?
