For over 15 years, I worked on the front lines of the restoration industry as an Emergency Response Coordinator. I walked into homes on some of the worst days of peopleās lives; fires, floods, storms, you name it. And recently, a question I get all the time is:
āWhat made you switch from restoration to insurance?ā
The answer was simple.
Because far too many times, I had to look a homeowner in the eye and tell them they were underinsured. I had to tell them that their policy limits werenāt going to be enough. That theyād have to come out of pocket, sometimes thousands, on top of the stress they were already facing due to inadequate coverage.
I hated that feeling.
I hated seeing good people blindsided by gaps they didnāt even know they had.
So when I became an insurance agent, I made myself a promise:
