The U.S. Federal Reserve has announced no increase in the federal funds rate.*

The Fed announced a hold on raising interest rates, which is the first time they have not increased rates since 2021. It will be important to monitor the market, especially the inflation rate, and see what happens at the next Fed meeting on July 26, 2023.

Here’s something your VA borrowers should know. The Department of Veterans Affairs recently announced that loans closed on or after April 7, 2023, will now include lower funding fees for non-exempt veterans. This means that, if your borrower doesn’t qualify for a waiver and is charged a funding fee, they will now receive a lower fee. Call us to talk about the details!
