Imagine for a moment that you're celebrating your 65th birthday. You're surrounded by all of your family. Kids, grandchildren, parents, and closest friends. You have just had a great celebration. But something has been weighing heavy on your heart for the past few weeks. As the night winds down and everyone had gone. You find yourself laying in bed thinking about the last 40 years or so. This time it's not about how beautiful your life has been and the family that God has blessed you with. Instead you're burdened with one thought. "If I had known then what I know now". You're thinking about having to go back to work for the next ten years because you didn't have a plan in place that would allow you to enjoy your golden years.

Sadly this is a reality that many people will have to face in life. Statistics show from many sources that 95% of Americas workforce will either be dead broke or still working at age 65. One of my biggest fears in life is to wake up one day with aches and pains, comb my grey hair or police my bald head. Whichever may come. Wishing that I did not have to go to work. Wishing that instead I was meeting my wife at the breakfast table and planning a family vacation for my children and their children.

There is one thing however that can prevent this from happening. Making sure that I have a financial game plan in place that will insure I'm set up for financial independence. Meeting with a financial coach is how I managed to overcome those fears. Our family gets to rest each night with absolute certainty that we wont have to work in our golden years.
