Over a year ago, an inspiring young soul said, “What happened Janine?”, after he completely missed his chair and landed on the floor. Sometimes in life we lose our footing, we fall off our chairs and have trouble getting up. For me, this past year and a half has been a series of lapses, relapses and attempts to get back up. Hello everyone, It's the 200th installment of Motivational Mondays! This week's theme is "all heart". I could think of no one who could honor this occasion more than Leo Smith. For those of you who don't know Leo, he's a ten month old King Charles Cavalier Spaniel who lights up any room. I affectionately call him "the cutest puppiest". He is in tune to the emotions of others and always knows when you need a cuddle buddy. [ 92 more words ]

Hello everyone, This week's Motivational Monday theme is "travel outside of your comfort zone". Last week, my wise, inspirational yoga teacher expressed, "Don't exclude yourself from possibilities". Sometimes we count ourselves out before we even put one toe in the water. It's those negative thinking patterns that keep us stuck. We tell ourselves, "I can't" or "it will never happen" when just showing up is a success. [ 36 more words ]

Hello everyone, This week’s Motivational Monday theme is “the power of thoughts”. I came across a quote that stated, “Don’t believe everything you think”. Don’t ask me who said it because it seems that many people on the Internet have. It’s something that I have been working on lately and it has proven to be extremely difficult. For example, if you think something, you don’t necessarily have to act on it. [ 46 more words ]

Hello everyone,

Welcome back to Motivational Mondays! This week’s theme is “moderation”.

I continually grapple with maintaining balance in my life. I often bounce back and forth between deprivation and overindulgence. I look at everything that is wrong about a moment instead of just letting that moment be and experiencing it. During this holiday season, I encourage you to take the time to experience your family, your friends, your life free of stress and judgment.

I will not be sending out weekly emails but if something motivates me, I want to share it with all of you.

All in moderation,

Janine

Hello everyone, This week’s Motivational Monday theme is “freedom”. “There is freedom waiting for you, On the breezes of the sky, And you ask "What if I fall?" Oh but my darling, What if you fly?” ~Erin Hanson You never know what you are capable of if you don’t try. Sometimes our thoughts bind us but our actions can pave the path of freedom. Have a wonderful July 4th, Janine

Hello everyone, This week’s Motivational Monday theme is “inclusion”. It’s time that we broaden our perspectives, take someone else’s perspective, and encourage others to view the world from different perspectives. Recognize your audience. Recognize that your words and actions impact those around you. Listen with your whole body and not just one ear. Don’t be so consumed by superficial matters and venture deeper. [ 79 more words ]

Hello everyone, Due to a busy few days, here is another installment of Totivational Tuesdays… This week’s theme is “introspection” and is inspired by a terrific Spin Instructor. Every week she plays a “Connect” song. It is a wonderful time to reflect for a few minutes. During her class last night, we listened to a Sia song entitled, “Alive”. I was so grateful to put life’s stressors on pause and thank my body for all it does for me. I recommend trying this exercise whether you’re sitting, walking or taking a spin class. Focus on your “Why”. Much love, Janine

Hello everyone, This week’s Motivational Monday theme is “connections”. I came across the following profound quote on Facebook… “If you can’t see some part of yourself in every single person you encounter, then you’re not looking closely enough, at the person or at yourself,” Scott Stabile We spend so much time focusing on what’s wrong, why we shouldn’t get along and what’s different, that there’s no room to establish deeper connections and have eye-opening conversations. Keep your mind open to all differences and you may recognize that we all have more in common than you think. Stay connected, Janine

Hello everyone, This week’s Motivational Monday theme is “when we stop avoiding…” When we stop avoiding our feelings and anxiety-provoking situations, that’s when we live truly and fully. S.C. Lourie writes, “Be confused, it’s where you begin to learn new things. Be broken, it’s where you begin to heal. Be frustrated, it’s where you start to make more authentic decisions. Be sad, because if we are brave enough we can hear our heart’s wisdom through it. Be whatever you are right now. No more hiding. You are worthy, always”. See and be seen, Janine
