The Flexible Capital Fund is grateful to the M&T Charitable Foundation and the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund for supporting business coaching for our portfolio companies through a $5,000 grant.

Our work is grounded in the belief that flexible capital works best when paired with strong technical assistance. Through this partnership, VSJF provides coaching and strategic support that helps our portfolio companies strengthen operations, scale effectively and increase their impact. With a shared focus on food systems, forest products and clean technology, this collaboration expands what is possible for the businesses we support and the communities they serve.

The Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund (VSJF) has been awarded a $5,000 grant from the M&T Charitable Foundation to provide business coaching services for companies in the Flexible Capital Fund, L3C’s portfolio. “The M&T Charitable Foundation is proud to support the Vermont Sustainable Jobs Fund

We are looking forward to being in Boston tomorrow for a day of connection and conversation with the impact investing community. Flexible Capital Fund President Janice St. Onge will discuss revenue-based financing with capital and ecosystem partners.

The event, hosted by Investors Circle in partnership with JSC Impact, brings together entrepreneurs, investors and partners working to advance impact across the region.

We are glad to be part of these conversations and to share how flexible, non-extractive capital can support businesses as they grow and deliver meaningful outcomes!

As good a time as any to highlight the uphill battle impact funds face in raising capital today—caught between risk-averse investors, rigid funding models, and a system that undervalues patient, place-based capital.
