Congratulations to our own Patrick Albrecht, President of AIA, on being elected by WSIA members to serve as the 2026-2027 Chair.

Patrick’s leadership journey with WSIA reflects a long-standing commitment to the wholesale, specialty and surplus lines industry. Following in his father’s footsteps, he joined the legacy AAMGA Board in 2017 and later that year became a member of the WSIA Board of Directors. He went on to join the WSIA Executive Committee in 2023.

We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor and look forward to seeing Patrick’s continued impact in the years ahead.

Our Michelle Callahan and Tracy Tippett represented AIA at Regions Field this week for a baseball game between the Birmingham Barons vs. Rocket City Trash Pandas.

It was a great opportunity to enjoy a day at the ballpark, connect with industry partners, and continue strengthening AIA’s valued relationship with Travelers.

While the Trash Pandas came out on top with a 7–6 win, the real highlight was spending time with great people and building connections that support our members and the independent agency system.

Thank you to Travelers for the continued partnership!

Meet the Team! Ashlee Youngblood, Underwriter

Ashlee began her underwriting career in 2023, working in workers’ compensation with a focus in trucking. That experience gave her a strong foundation in the industry, and she’s excited to continue expanding her knowledge and exposure across other areas as part of the AIA team.

She joined AIA in August 2025 and quickly embraced the team-oriented culture. What Ashlee enjoys most about working at AIA is the support among colleagues and the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with clients and agency partners.

Outside of work, Ashlee is a proud wife and mom of two, with a baby girl on the way this July. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, preferably near a body of water, and cheering on Auburn. War Eagle!
