What an incredible evening with Faulkner University!

Last night, our Thompson Insurance team had the privilege of hearing from Mike Pompeo, former U.S. Secretary of State and CIA Director, and Sir Richard Moore, former Chief of MI6. They shared candid perspectives on current world events, along with stories and lessons from some of the most consequential roles in public service. It was a rare look at leadership, judgment, and decision-making under pressure.

Just as memorable was seeing Faulkner live out its mission of using faith to shape futures. That commitment shows up in the students, faculty, and community, and it's a big part of why we're proud to partner with them.

Thompson Insurance is a committed supporter of Faulkner's Risk Management and Insurance program. We invest in the program, sponsor a scholarship for a deserving student, and welcome Faulkner interns to our team throughout the year. Supporting the next generation of insurance professionals is something we care deeply about, and Faulkner is preparing students who are ready to lead. We are excited to have Abbie Davis on board as our Fall 2026 intern and honored that she is our scholarship recipient.

Tropical Storm Isaias is now in the Gulf and is forecast to strengthen into a significant hurricane by Thursday, with potential landfall along the northern Gulf Coast late Friday into Saturday. Winds could reach 90–110 mph near the coast, and rainfall of 6–12 inches is expected across southern Alabama, southern Mississippi, and the Florida Panhandle — with flash flooding, storm surge, and isolated tornadoes all in the mix.

Last week, our team came together for Thompson Insurance's annual State of the Agency meeting- a time to reflect on where we've been, align around our vision for the future, and celebrate the values that define who we are.

One of the highlights was introducing our new quarterly Core Value Awards. These awards are especially significant because they're nominated by their peers- the people who work alongside these individuals every day. Their recognition is a reflection of the impact they have on our team and the example they set for others.
