ā May 27, 1998 ā 28 years ago, I graduated from the United States Air Force Academy.
The journey started long before Day 1. Competing for an appointment took discipline, focus, and a lot of unseen work; early mornings, late nights, and commitment when no one was watching.
Then came 4 years at the Academy. Academics, military training, athleticsā¦and a daily grind that tested grit and determination. Progress wasnāt automatic, it was earned through consistency.
After that?
27+ years of active duty service. Leading through challenges, navigating peaks and valleys, and adapting every step of the way. Results came from effort, perseverance, and showing up day after day.
Looking back, it closely mirrors the path to financial security:
š The work no one sees
š Showing up consistently over time
š Working through setbacks
š Staying disciplined for the long term
Thereās no shortcut, just the habits, decisions, and persistence that help move you forward over time.
The results come laterā¦stay the course.
Grateful for my journey.
