Every once in a while, the days start to blend together...meetings, emails, repeat. And then you get a reminder that the best reset doesn’t come from a calendar, it comes from stepping outside, kicking back, and embracing a little chaos.
A young Hailey Grace said it all: rock cool shades, ride a ā€œhorseā€, and confidently take aim with a water pistol like it's high noon. Yeeha! šŸ¤ šŸ’¦
There’s something awesome about hitting pause and leaning into joy, imagination, and a bit of carefree fun with the family. Those times don’t just recharge us, they remind us what we’re working for in the first place.
Here’s to breaking the routine, making family memories, and keeping a little wild west spirit in the weekend.

— May 27, 1998 — 28 years ago, I graduated from the United States Air Force Academy.
The journey started long before Day 1. Competing for an appointment took discipline, focus, and a lot of unseen work; early mornings, late nights, and commitment when no one was watching.
Then came 4 years at the Academy. Academics, military training, athletics…and a daily grind that tested grit and determination. Progress wasn’t automatic, it was earned through consistency.
After that?
27+ years of active duty service. Leading through challenges, navigating peaks and valleys, and adapting every step of the way. Results came from effort, perseverance, and showing up day after day.
Looking back, it closely mirrors the path to financial security:
šŸ‘‰ The work no one sees
šŸ‘‰ Showing up consistently over time
šŸ‘‰ Working through setbacks
šŸ‘‰ Staying disciplined for the long term
There’s no shortcut, just the habits, decisions, and persistence that help move you forward over time.
The results come later…stay the course.
Grateful for my journey.

| Lessons from the Road šŸš—
Earlier this year, my daughter and I traveled to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the iconic highway.
For generations, Route 66 has symbolized opportunity, resilience, and the courage to keep moving forward, the same mindset needed on the journey to financial success.
There are no shortcuts. Just steady progress, lessons learned, and a commitment to the destination.
Every mile matters.
Every lesson counts.
Over time, those add up to something bigger: freedom, security, and legacy.
What awesome memories and perspective gained along the way.
