Our water meter got damaged late yesterday afternoon and we didn’t realize the Cole Agency office had a large water leak. The city’s new monitoring system picked up on this, city employees stopped by the office first thing this morning, we went on a quick search inside, outside the building and discovered the meter was leaking. They were able to repair the leak immediately! If the old system was in place, we possibly would not have discovered this until a massive bill should up in the mail. Technology is a great thing but at the end of the day you still need these hard-working folks at the City of Montezuma to get the job done! Remember today was nice, but I see these same folks in the rain, cold and heat doing these type jobs so remember to thank them when you see them out working to keep all of us going.

Celebrate National Egg Day on June 3 by eating eggs in any way you want! This day has been celebrated since the 1950s, when it was created to honor one of nature’s most versatile and nutritious foods. There cannot be a National Egg Day without each and every poultry farmer in the world today!

We at Cole Agency believe that women of agriculture are an especially strong breed, and since March is Women’s History Month, we’re recognizing those women in the US who are in AG. Today we celebrate the 1.2 million female producers!
