Today would’ve been my Grandma’s 96th birthday. ❤️🕊️
This is her first birthday since she passed in December, and it feels strange not being able to visit her and say, “Happy Birthday, Grandma.” 🥺
She was one of the strongest and kindest people I’ve ever known. She came from Haiti in search of a better life for her children and the generations that would come after her. Her sacrifices, strength, and resilience still fuel my ambition every single day. 🇭🇹❤️
Her legacy lives on through generations—7 children, 10 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. 🥹 In this picture, you’ll see my uncle, my cousin, and her three great-great-grandchildren—a reminder that everything she sacrificed for continues to live on.
I wish I could talk to you just one more time. Happy 96th Birthday in Heaven, Grandma. 🕊️❤️ We will continue to make you proud.
If you’re blessed to still have your grandparents, cherish every moment. Call them. Visit them. Listen to their stories. Show them love while you can. ❤️🙏🏾
