Tax season is upon us! I’ve been staying busy ensuring that my clients’ financials are in order to make the process smooth for them.

I’ve been breaking all the rules of marketing and haven’t been utilizing this page very much. But the reason honestly is because God answered my prayers for Bookkeeping clients quickly and I’ve been so blessed to work with incredible clients and it’s been keeping me busy!

I really feel like I have found my niche in bookkeeping. I’ve always loved helping people and I have an eye for details and bookkeeping combines these skills in a way that really gets me excited to work on my clients’ books! I’m so grateful to be doing something I love and be able to stay home and care for our daughter. God receives all the glory for calling me to this industry and providing the clients I get to work with.

I just wanted to come on here and give an update and also thank you for your prayers, encouragement and support 💙 and if you know of a business owner who could use some help keeping track of their business finances please don’t hesitate to reach out!

To grow as a Bookkeeper I‘ve been studying accounting principles, but I was surprised to see them in my Bible study too! (Assets and liabilities are 2 types of accounts we find in bookkeeping) I’ve been studying 1 Corinthians and I’m in chapter 4. Another couple of verses that I found really pertinent to this Bookkeeping business are:

”This is the way any person is to regard us; as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. In this case, moreover, it is required of stewards that one be found trustworthy.” 1 Corinthians 4:1-2

This is one of the foundational pillars of Healy Books Financial, LLC. To serve business owners with integrity and trustworthiness but also to be a good steward of the work God has placed me here to do.

Have you noticed fraudsters running rampant these days? After applying for my LLC I received numerous attempts from people claiming to be officials trying to claim money. So how can you be sure if a communication is from government officials or someone attempting to commit fraud?

The IRS shared this article earlier this week to help discern if it’s the real deal. Stay safe out there!!

It was more difficult than I anticipated 😅 but I’m proud to say that I passed my Quickbooks ProAdvisor Certification Exam and earned my badge and title as an official Quickbooks ProAdvisor! 🎇

This was something that I wanted to do to prove to myself that I could. But it also comes with some perks and discounts that I can offer to clients so it’s a win/win!!

🪴 I wanted to take some time and share a little bit about why I decided to get into freelance bookkeeping. As some of you know, I’ve been working in Quickbooks Tech support for the past 14 months. I started out as a Customer service representative and was quickly promoted to a chat position where I helped other customer service representatives who were on the phones with more complex issues. Shortly after that, I was asked to be a facilitator and teach courses for new agents learning how to do customer support for Quickbooks.

🪴 I’ve enjoyed teaching the classes but I am also a work from home mom to our beautiful 1 year old daughter, and the schedule is very demanding when I’m teaching and there’s not much flexibility. Then on the other hand when they are not taking on new learners there is no work for me. I’ve been heavily in prayer about this for a while and one day I felt God press on my heart the desire to start a bookkeeping business. I appreciate your prayers and helping me get the word out to friends and business owners as I dive in to this new adventure!
