You can send via mail, or we now have a secure portal where you can upload tax documents directly to DeeAnn. Thank you for being our valued tax client over the years.

I am pleased to announce the opening of D’Agostino Group in the greater Charlotte area.

This has been a very difficult decision, one that I tried very hard to avoid. While our Holly Spring office has officially closed, Tracy Edick will remain a local contact as she is working remotely in Holly Springs. We have set up a secured portal for all our tax clients. This will allow you to have your own login and the ability to upload your tax information securely as well transferring information. Please let us know when you are ready to receive your secure link, you can email [email protected] for all tax communications.

Our office number has remained the same 919-577-1040, but we have a new mailing address; PO Box 1651 Indian Trail, NC 28079.

The IRS is officially taking 2021 income tax returns. No appointments are necessary for drop offs. Also, with the current IRS staffing shortage it would be a good idea for you to set up an online account with the IRS. This will make things much easier if any questions or problems arise with your account or refund. Thanks!

We have gotten word from the IRS that returns filed with unemployment income prior to the tax law change will NOT need to be amended. The IRS will be making corrections and sending additional refunds to those who are getting them. There is no timeline, but with all that is going on I wouldn’t be surprised if the corrections take at least a month and likely longer.

Please be aware when filing taxes for North Carolina:

You will be responsible for paying interest at the statutory rate from April 15, 2020, until you pay your income tax liability. The rate of interest is currently 5% per year, the minimum rate allowed by statute. Currently, State law prevents the
Department from waiving accrued interest, including interest assessed for the underpayment of estimated tax, except in limited cases.

Our office will continue to remain open during the current COVID-19 outbreak. We ask however, that clients please don’t come to the office for the time being. We have installed a secure drop box in the front door to drop your income tax paperwork and we will continue processing them as quickly as possible.

For those of you who would rather stay home, you can also send your information to our secure email server.

Insurance premium payments can be called in with a credit or debit card or can be placed in the drop box.

For tax payers with April 15 payments scheduled. The IRS says taxpayers can cancel their payment by contacting the U.S. Treasury Financial Agent at 888-353-4537. But payment cancellation requests must be made no later than 11:59 p.m. ET two business days before the scheduled payment date. Then reschedule the automatic payment or mail a check to the IRS.

D'Agostino Group is open, but given the current crisis our country is facing, we are asking all our clients with scheduled appointments if they would possibly drop off, email or mail in the tax papers.
