Tips to avoid frozen pipes:

Before the cold weather sets in: Insulate
Drain your pipes and shut off your water during the hard, freezing temperatures. Wrapping pipes is essential to avoid busting piping.
Dripping/running water will lower the chances of water freezing in the pipes.
Check sprinkler or irrigation systems. Make sure everything is turned off and drained.
Eliminate sources of cold air near water lines. Fix drafty windows and plug drafts around doors.
Protect your pipes. Wrap them with insulation.
Know how to shut off your water.
When temperatures stay below freezing: Let it drip
If pipes run through cabinets, open the doors to let warmer room temperatures flow in.

But if your pipes do freeze: Heat it up
Shut off the water immediately.
Thaw pipes with warm air, with a hair dryer or space heater. Do not leave space heaters unattended, and do not use kerosene heaters or open flames.
Be careful turning water back on. Once pipes are fully thawed, slowly turn the water back on and check pipes and joints for any cracks.

Process applications for, changes to, reinstatement of, and cancellation of insurance policies. Duties include reviewing insurance applications to ensure that all questions have been answered, compiling data on insurance policy changes, changing policy records to conform to insured party's specifications, compiling data on lapsed insurance policies to determine automatic reinstatement according to company policies, canceling insurance policies as requested by agents, and verifying the accuracy of insurance company records.

Damages are extensive and will take some time to assess all damages and to begin rebuilding. Some of us are still without power and reaching us is at best, a hardship. Below are ways to file a claim:

1.Mobile: Use the AN Mobile app, available for free at the Apple App store or Google Play. An account is required.

2.Online: Go to AmericanNational.com and select start the claim process. Clients will have three ways to report a claim.
