Looking for a Director of Operations at Wisco Madison REIA
We are a small business that runs multiple different meeting locations in the state of Wisconsin. Our focus revolves around real estate investing, networking, training and education to our members, guests and sponsors and we are growing at a fast pace.
We are looking for a Director of Operations (DOO) that is looking for a challenge and an opportunity to grow with us in an industry that has huge growth potential. We need someone for 40 hours per week. Starting pay range is $15 - $20 per hour for the first 3 months with bonus potential after that.
Reporting directly to the owners of Wisco REIA, the DOO will spearhead meetings, educational events, activities, and marketing for Wisco REIA. Since education and networking are key elements of the association’s mission, the DOO is a pivotal and key position to the overall health of the organization. The DOO will directly supervise an administrative support VA and the leadership team which consists of a team of 12+ volunteers (hosts and check in people) around the state. A successful DOO will be intimately familiar with Wisco REIA’s history, members, and sponsors, as well as being passionately driven to see the success of the association realized. Excellent interpersonal skills required.
MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Coordinate and schedule all events for the upcoming year.
• Identify volunteers for key positions on the Leadership Team.
• Direct marketing initiatives to VA for entry on website (Wisco REIA calendar) and Eventbrite, Meet Up, Bigger Pockets, Facebook & Monthly Newsletter
• Overall authority and final signer on contracts for events, including venue booking, food/beverages, audiovisual support, and event signage.
• Overall authority and final signer for sponsors for all event-related matters.
• Oversee and direct Event Coordinator for all meeting locations across the state working directly with Hosts and Check in People.
• Follow up and track marketing campaigns.
• Oversee and direct sponsor recruitment, management, and benefits for Sponsors.
• Report to Wisco REIA owners on goals and objectives throughout the year. You will document everything you learn and create a procedural / operations manual for the different aspects of the business, so as we grow and you grow with us, you would be able to help identify where additional help is needed, and already have the training manual in place to easily train that person at their new job so that you can take on more responsibilities as we grow.
REQUIREMENTS:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Works well independently and as a team
• Positive attitude and ability to work well under pressure.
• Competence in Google Suite and Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Highly organized, detail oriented. Self-driven with a strong ability to prioritize responsibilities.
