Windshield replacements are often paid out-of-pocket because of higher deductibles. Newer vehicles have very expensive windshields because they need to be recalibrated. We can match you with insurance companies in both WI and MN that have full glass/$0 deductible coverage. 715-926-3828

Helpful hint - if you are renting a car to travel, they will ask you for a major credit card to have on file. Do not give them the one you plan to use while traveling because if you are in an accident they will likely put a large deposit on your card limiting your available funds for your vacation.

Also, be sure to ask your agent if your policy covers "loss of use." If it does not you may want to check with your credit card company to see if that is a perk.

This coverage applies to the amount you may be charged for the timeframe that they are unable to rent out the vehicle because of a claim while in your possession. It may also avoid them putting that deposit on your card while the claim is handled. You would refer to this coverage as the "loss damage waiver" when asking the rental agency if they sell that coverage separately.

Reminder - your holiday decor spends most months tucked away. If you had a fire and everything was gone, would you be able to list everything that you had for the claims adjuster? Take photos or a video now while its out on display so that you could go back to it instead of relying on memory. Remember you are only reimbursed for what you can remember.

Hail damage? Would you want new shingles that match?

Without a "matching roofing endorsement" on your homeowners insurance policy you will not be reimbursed by your insurance company to replace undamaged shingles if your shingles are no longer available.

Not every company is offering this relatively new option, and it isn't automatically added to your policy. We would be happy to discuss what options our long list of companies can provide.
