I'm a lifelong resident of Berkeley County, having grown up in Moncks Corner and Goose Creek. My father, Richard Lee Dixon, established the Dixon Agency LLC in 1985 to serve our community, and I am proud to continue his legacy. My husband, Jerome, and I are proud parents of our children, Jared and Laila. I believe that understanding the significance of family is a core value for any agent. I am a member of Truth Tabernacle, Incorporated, the Berkeley Chamber of Commerce, the Berkeley County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated, and I serve on the boards of The Prince Center and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Lowcountry. I graduated from Berkeley High School in 1996, Elon University in 2000, and Charleston Southern University in 2006. I became an agent because I witnessed the positive impact my father had on helping families create lasting legacies. Mom always said, “clean your room.”
I didn’t realize she was really teaching me to value and take care of what I own.

As you get older, Mom’s input starts to change.
Her tone softens, but the wisdom gets sharper.

When you’re a kid, “clean your room” feels like an annoying checklist item.
But eventually you realize she was teaching discipline and respect for what you have.

Suddenly, “taking care of your things” isn’t about toys on the floor.
It’s about protecting what you’ve worked for.

And somewhere along the way, the questions evolve too.

She stopped asking if I cleaned my room.
She started asking if I have good insurance.

Because life gets bigger, the risks get real, and the stakes rise with every milestone you hit.

Funny how Mom’s wisdom grows right along with you. 💙
