Hello, tamale lovers! We’ve received a few questions about the competition, so here’s what you need to know!

The purpose: This friendly competition is designed to promote people who make and sell homemade tamales part time or seasonally. Participants must be willing to sell their tamales to the public during the holiday season. We’ll share the winners’ contact information after the contest so you can place your orders!

Limited spots: We’re accepting only the first 12 entries per category. Please drop off your registration after 8 a.m. at 817 S. Stockton Ave. on Thursday October 1st.

Categories: You can enter one category or all three!

The “Other” category: Think savory options such as green chile and asadero cheese, bean and cheese, or rajas con queso. No dessert tamales, please.

Help us spread the word and give our local tamale makers a chance to shine!
